First Full Day on the Road.

So I woke up this morning(thursday,June 16), all sore cause I fell asleep on the tile floor of the motorhome -_- but other then that I had a goodnights sleep. I woke up and had some of the greatest cereal ever, Cinnamon Toast Crunch!(: and the day was pretty uneventful, slept watched movies and just chilled. But we stopped by this Triathlon shop called Tri Sports to redeem some gift certificates that my brother , Eric and I got when we won the G.C. for the Tucson Bicycle Classic. We got some Pre Race Stuff, Gu's, Electrolyte drink and some Other food. We had heard about this climb that's really popular in Tucson called Mt. Lemmon, it's like 25 miles with and average of 6%-7% grade. We where looking for a place to ride to get the blood flowing, raise our heart rate a little. So we thought it would be a good place to ride so we drove to the base of it and got the bikes out and just headed off. It was a long run up to the start of the climb with a tailwind so it got really hot! We where only planning on going for like an hour ride and so I though I'd only need one bottle but my dad said I'd probably want both of them and he was right it was hot and dry so your mouth would dry up really fast! But any way Eric and I where riding at a pretty good pace and we realized only Courtney, a 12 year old girl on our team, was left with us and so I came to the conclusion that we couldn't leave Courtney by her self so me and Eric would take turns going off the front for short little efforts an turn around an let the other one go. So we ended up not getting to the top but maybe like 3 or 4 miles into the climb. But anyway it was a really cool ride , I'd like to come back at a more bearable time of year because it's a really beautiful area with canyons ,smooth roads And little traffic(: we got back from our ride packed up and started on the road.
I'm not sure who volunteered me but I got the job of "team house wife" as Eric called it. So I make everybody food ,clean up ,and wash dishes. But I made this casserole type thing with ground turkey, pasta, and red tomato sauce. It turned out really good ,surprisingly haha. It's now 1:37 in the morning, that's only one hour ahead of where I'm from . Where somewhere in Texas and I'm going to go to bed.
